Immune Enhancing Oregano Essential Oil

Oregano essential oil is very powerful and steam distilled from leaves of oregano plant.

Major constituents:

• Carvacrol

• Monoterpenes

• Gamma-Terpinene

• Thymol

• Linalool

• P-cymene

The Oregano plants are harvested only when the Carvacrol, (a phenol that attributes most of the health benefits) is at its highest levels. It is preferred to wait until Carvacrol reaches 80% or above. These healing phytochemical compounds called Carvacrol have powerful antimicrobial properties that have been shown to assist breaking through the outer cell membranes that help protect bacteria in the immune system.

Origanum vulgare essential oil is the most commonly sold on the market today but Origanum compactum is highly sought after. Usually it is more costly as it is mostly wild harvested from the mountains of Spain and Greece. Honest & Pure Oregano essential oil is Oreganum Compactum, Wild from Greece with 82% carvacrol.

Warnings: Oregano compact essential oil is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women, as well as for children under 6 years of age.

Oregano essential oil is an immune-stimulant, antiseptic to the respiratory system, antiviral, antibacterial.

Methods of application:

Diffuse;

Generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for human consumption by the FDA. Dilute one drop oil in 1 tsp. honey or in a vegetable capsule with carrier oil. Use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 years old and over.
