According to recent studies, the efficacy of a 6-week-intake of oral lavender oil preparation (80 mg/day), compared to lorazepam, was investigated in adults with generalized anxiety disorder. The study indicates that lavender effectively ameliorates generalized anxiety comparable to 0.5 mg/daily lorazepam. In another study Lavender essential oil showed a significant improvement in postnatal depression scale. Lavender essential oil also reduced anxiety in dental patients. (administered via massage at 2% dilution rate for 4 weeks). Lavender has been suggested as an excellent natural remedy to treat insomnia and improve the sleep quality (administered via inhalation).
Sacred Frankincense:
Sourced from our partner distillery in Oman, wild-crafted Sacred Frankincense (Boswellia Sacra) is one of the most valuable and rare essential oils in the world. According to recent studies, observations in human bladder cancer cells, Boswellia sacra essential oil induces breast cancer cell-specific cytotoxicity. "Suppression of cellular network formation and disruption of spheroid development of breast cancer cells by Boswellia sacra essential oil suggest that the essential oil may be effective for advanced breast cancer". Chronic inflammation may lead to a variety of diseases, such as periodontitis, atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer. Recent research suggests that Frankincense essential oil may "significantly reduced the levels of IP-10 and ICAM-1, important pro-inflammatory biomarkers, suggesting its anti-inflammatory potential." Sacred Frankincense may help with body tissues repair after injury.
